Hi
there
Great
news! Siren Publishing have just started
to publish the first two books of the ‘Sirens and Sailors’ series in paperback
as a combi-book! This is currently
available for pre-order from Amazon:
‘Last of the Sirens’ by Bella Settarra
Sirens and Sailors #1
When virginal Amaranda saves handsome sailor, Eban
Gal, their love changes the lives of everyone on the ancient island of Refrainia…
Having reluctantly been taught to become a
Siren on the ancient island
of Refrainia, virginal,
naive Amaranda gets her sexual awakening in the arms of handsome sailor, Eban
Gal, whom she saves from drowning. The
lovers’ attempt to flee the island is thwarted by the elderly leader,
Hermandine, who imprisons Eban and forces Amaranda to seduce the sailors with
the other Sirens on Destiny Rock. While
Amaranda is being attacked, Eban is bewitched by beautiful Siren, Kalliope.
When Eban and the sailors realize the horrors afoot on
the island, they challenge the Elders to change their laws and lifestyle. A treacherous voyage in search of Poseidon is
the only solution, so the couple, along with two sailors set off. A violent encounter with the Teras, a hideous
sea-creature, threatens to end Amaranda’s life, and destroy their ship, and,
with no sign of the Sea-God, all their efforts appear to be in vain…
‘Scourge of the Siren’ by Bella Settarra
Sirens and Sailors #2
Is there any hope for Eban Gal and Amaranda’s future when she is
blackmailed, drugged and left for dead in a burning boat?
Eban Gal
takes his fiancée, Amaranda, to live in his homeland on Westland.
Adjusting to her new way of life proves more difficult than she ever
imagined. When beautiful Mitzi, an
ex-girlfriend of Eban, overhears them speaking about her past, the jealous girl
uses the revelation to blackmail Amaranda into leaving her beloved Eban
forever. Alone in a strange world,
Amaranda gets captured by drug-dealer Taneli Oris, who has been terrifying
her with his salacious comments and advances.
Taneli has already exposed her secret to the press, and soon the ancient
island of Refrainia is in chaos. Mutilated bodies are found and questions are
asked.
When Mitzi is rushed into hospital following a drug overdose, Eban
realizes how much danger Amaranda is in, and rushes to find her before it’s too
late.
As Taneli forces drugs into her, Amaranda inadvertently sets fire to the
boat they are hiding in. Unconscious,
with her leg trapped, she has no hope of escape.

of ‘My Review’ this week I would like to share with you some reviews which some
readers posted for these books. (They
are separate for each book as the kindle editions were bought).

Amaranda is a
young Siren ready to take her place as a temptress on the beautiful island of Refrainia. Then she meets a young sailor
named Eban Gal and everything changes for her.
Last of the Sirens is a romantically happy journey full of twists and turns. Just when you think you know where the story is leading, it suddenly veers off into a new and wonderful direction. I enjoyed experiencing the discovery of love (and at times --evil) through the innocent eyes of young Amaranda.
Sirens are not the only fantasy beings in the story, but as with the Sirens, the descriptions wonderfully bring the mythological creatures to life. I hesitate to reveal any more as I don’t want to spoil the fun and wonder for other readers.
Ms. Settarra’s biography at the end of the book says she’s working on the next title. That’s great because I can’t wait to read what happens next on Refrainia.

A fantastic
read-great first book in a new series. Storyline had me gripped from page one
and I honestly couldn't put it down from there! Well written with beautiful
descriptions(and very raunchy sex scenes!). Looking forward to reading Sirens

Scourge of the Siren
May
10, 2014 Natalie Canham rated it 5 of 5 stars (on Goodreads)
FANTASTIC book!!! I was eagerly anticipating reading this as I was so
hooked by the first book in this series, Last of the Sirens-and it did not
disappoint! Story line was gripping, with a great balance of the underlying
love story mixed in with explosive sex scenes alongside the main character's
struggles to adapt to life in her new surroundings. Topped off with enough
suspense to have me holding my breath for page after page, I could not put this
story down! Settarra's writing is top quality and the story flows fluently at a
good pace. Descriptions are as precise and mesmerizing as with the first book-I
really felt like I could see and feel everything the characters could.
Beautifully written and leaves me wanting more from these wonderful characters.
Itching to read book 3 now! A MUST READ!
